Creating something as simple as a reusable bag – and turning it into something people genuinely want to carry – isn’t always easy. In a retail environment filled with competing visuals, it takes more than function alone to stand out.
When working with The Range, the goal was to design a bag that felt bold, eye-catching, and playful – something that would cut through the noise and connect with customers in a light, memorable way.
The result was a design that combined strong visual impact with a sense of personality. Launched across UK stores in 2015 with an initial run of 100,000 units, the bag quickly sold out. Its continued popularity has seen it restocked time and time again – a lasting example of how thoughtful, characterful design can turn an everyday item into something enduring.
